Our versatile APHA stallion, QTs Okie Cowboy, is a homozygous own son of the great Q T Poco Streke. He is a finished reiner, does competitive and arena trail, and ranch versatility. He's a wonderful horse and great fun. His colts for us are three this year, looking fantastic and riding great! Thank you to those of you that bred your good mares to him and have purchased his kids! Our reining cow horse stallion, Smart Pyro, is an outstanding individual. Being double registered AQHA and APHA he is a worthy representative of both organizations. Color, quality genetics, superior breeding and a phenominal disposition. He is sired by the beautiful Smart Lil Paradign, an acomplished NCHA competitor and NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA producer. Pyro is well started in reining, very cowy and will show in APHA competition in 2009. This nice stallion was bred to two of our select mares here in 2008; a sorrel daughter of Wins Remedy and a sorrel minimal overo daughter of Freckle Face Smoke! We are excited to see his babies in April and May 2009!

We also stand the stunning Topsail Cody son Topsail Starlight. He is out of a producing daughter of Grays Starlight out of a winning producing daughter of Smart Little Lena. If you are looking for an exquisite show prospect, we have two of his kids available! ***In foal to Topper for 2009; a light buckskin dun daughter of Jac Daniels Neat and a dark red buckskin dun daughter of Just Plain Colonel!

Our newest exciting prospect is XANDER! He is sired by NRCHA's winningest horse, Very Smart Remedy, and out of our own NRCHA COA earning mare Zans Gunna Smokem! This AQHA liver chestnut rabicano roan colt is very stylish and athletic. He is a very serious reining or reined cow horse candidate and a prime NRHA Futurity prospect or NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity prospect.
We are offering him for sale since we have our plate more than full! But, don't wait too long we may change our mind when we start riding him!

Who are we?
Halo Hues Ranch is a small family run horse farm located in the Northeastern portion of California just east of where the Sierra Nevada's collide with the Great Cascade Range. We work together to produce versatile AQHA and APHA performance horses with a particular interest in the reined cow horse. We have a few nice mares with proven genetics, performance records and are proven producers. We breed to top industry stallions and to our stallions here at home to offer you success in your equine endeavors.
